An unfinished basement transformed into a luxury retreat — marble-effect entertainment wall with linear fireplace, full spa bathroom, and a custom cedar steam room with LED lighting.

This Danbury basement transformation turned raw, unfinished space into a high-end retreat that rivals any above-grade living area. The entertainment zone anchors around a dramatic floor-to-ceiling marble-look porcelain feature wall, housing a wide-format linear electric fireplace with color-changing LED flames. A floating walnut mantel shelf and flanking wall sconces complete the look, with fully recessed lighting throughout keeping the ceiling clean. The full bathroom is finished in large-format dark grey porcelain tile from floor to ceiling — a wall-hung toilet with a chrome dual-flush plate and a custom floating walnut vanity with double integrated undermount sinks and a white quartz countertop bring a boutique-hotel feel to the space. The crown jewel is the glass-enclosed custom steam room: tiered cedar benches, a sauna heater, and blue LED ambient lighting running the perimeter — a genuine spa experience built into the home.
