Andersen Premier certification, in your corner.
Most window contractors are not Andersen certified at all. Premier is one of the higher tiers of Andersen's Certified Contractor Program, and it is why we can offer the full Andersen lineup, Andersen's 2-year installation warranty, and a direct line to Andersen's technical team when something needs attention years from now.
Vetted and trained by Andersen
Andersen certifies contractors on installation volume, in-person installation training, a background check, insurance, and local reputation, and reviews the tier every year. The standard is maintained, not just earned once.
2-year installation warranty
On top of Andersen's product warranty, every window we install carries Andersen's 2-year limited installation warranty. Only certified contractors can offer it.
Every series, and direct support
We carry and install all five Andersen series, from the 100 Series to the E-Series, and we process warranty claims with Andersen on your behalf.

Featured Project · Westchester County, NY
Barn Home: 9 Windows, 8 Skylights, 3 Patio Doors
A complete window and skylight overhaul on a barn home with unconventional framing, non-standard opening sizes, and cathedral ceiling planes. Every skylight penetration was flashed and weatherproofed by hand, and every window was templated to its own opening.
The owners lived in the house throughout. The crew walked them through each day's progress and left the site clean every evening, which is the standard on every Sunrise project.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does it mean that Sunrise Carpentry is an Andersen Premier Partner?
Premier is one of the higher tiers of the Andersen Certified Contractor Program. To hold it, a contractor must have been in business for years, lead with Andersen products, complete Andersen's in-person installation training, pass a background check, carry verified insurance, and keep meeting Andersen's volume and reputation standards. For you it means the installation is done to Andersen's specification, the product warranty stays fully intact, and your project also receives Andersen's 2-year limited installation warranty, which non-certified installers cannot offer.
Do you only install Andersen windows?
Andersen is what we recommend and install most often because the product, warranty, and parts support are the best we have worked with over 30 years. We can also install other brands when a project calls for it, such as matching existing windows in a partial replacement, and we repair windows from most manufacturers.
How long does a window installation take?
The installation itself usually takes one to three days for a typical home of 10 to 20 windows. The longer part is the lead time: standard Andersen sizes typically arrive in a few weeks, while custom sizes, colors, and specialty shapes can take six to eight weeks or more. We measure, order, and schedule the install to line up with delivery.
Will I need a permit for new windows in Westchester or Fairfield County?
A like-for-like replacement generally does not require a building permit in most Westchester, Putnam, and Fairfield County municipalities. Enlarging an opening, adding a new window, changing a bedroom egress window, or working on a home in a historic district often does. We confirm the requirements for your town and handle the paperwork when a permit is needed.
Can new windows really lower my heating bills?
Yes, when the old windows are single-pane, leaky, or have failed seals. ENERGY STAR estimates that replacing single-pane windows with certified ones saves around 12 percent on energy bills in our Northern climate zone, roughly several hundred dollars a year on a typical home. In an older Westchester colonial with original windows, most homeowners notice the difference the first winter, both on the bill and in how the rooms feel.
My home was built before 1978. Does that change anything?
It does. Removing old windows disturbs painted surfaces, and paint from before 1978 may contain lead. Sunrise Carpentry is an EPA Lead-Safe Certified Firm, so our crews follow RRP containment and cleanup rules on every pre-1978 home. It adds a little setup time and protects your family.
