Three-Season Sunroom Addition
Sunroom
Somers, NY
2026

Project Overview
Three-season sunroom addition in Somers, NY — Marvin Elevate windows on three walls, vaulted beadboard ceiling with exposed beams, stone foundation, on a historic farmhouse.
This Somers farmhouse gained a full three-season sunroom addition off the rear of the home — designed to sit naturally against the existing architecture while opening the interior to the property's gardens and mature trees. Three walls of Marvin Elevate windows with colonial divided lites bring in light from every angle. A vaulted cathedral ceiling with exposed painted beams and beadboard runs the length of the room, with two ceiling fans keeping air moving through the warmer months. French doors on two sides connect the sunroom to the existing covered porch and to the main house, making it a genuine through-space that extends the home's living footprint from spring through fall. The stone masonry foundation base ties the new addition visually to the existing landscape, and the white trim and siding match the home's historic character precisely.
